Thirds - Book One

The idea for the 'Thirds' book first came to me in 1997, I started writing it whilst on an expedition in the Amazon region of Brazil, 1997. I wrote my first draft of book one in 2011, and have since edited and changed that draft a few times.

Thirds follows the stories of various groups of people trying to deal with an apocalyptic event where animals have suddenly started to attack and kill humans. Some are targeted, some are not, the story follows the survivors as they try to work out why the animals are attacking and try to navigate their way to a safe country, where apparently no animal attacks have happened.

Thirds - Book Two

As I began to form 'Thirds', I soon realised that there was a trilogy in there, in three clear parts. Those parts were - during the animal attacks, the supposed safe haven, post apocalyptic event, i.e. the adjustment to a new world. The first book covers the first three days of the world event and book two covers days four, five and six.

Thirds: Book Two, picks up on where the first book ended, where the group of survivors come to learn of who to trust, who to blame and who to avoid.  With such a large number of characters, over forty characters, fifteen of which are the main characters within the whole Thirds story arc.

Thirds - Book Three

Thirds: Book Three explores the aftermath of the resettling of the earth after the apocalyptic event, and how the survivors deal with other survivors, other factions, whilst they look to find like-minded survivors, and look to set up a home.

The story of Thirds, and the characters within it, have been such a huge part of my life for a long time, that I almost feel like I owe it them to tell their story, to go for print and have the trilogy out there for all you to enjoy too. And, wait until you meet Gus, you'll like Gus!
