Bru Ha Ha

A Tribute

Between the years 2000 and 2003, Bru Ha Ha stomped the streets of Cambridge entertaining and playing their music. They played venues such as The Junction, The Boatrace, The Portland Arms, The Blue Moon and many more.

The Band that was...

...alright, they were alright! They could bang out a tune!

Bru Ha Ha formed when Colin met Nick at work in 1998, they became friends and started a two-piece band called 'Dead Calm'. Colin played guitar and sung, Nick played bass. Sometime in 1999, Colin met Rob, the lead  guitarist, at work too, whereas Nick met the first drummer, Ben, at work too.

The first line-up played a couple of gigs locally before Ben departed and the band searched for a new drummer, they found an advert in the paper and Simon soon joined the band in 2000.

The band played numerous gigs over the following three years, finally calling it a day in 2003.

The Pig Shed, The High Barn and the plan

The Pig Shed

The Pig Shed was our practice room, deep in the heart of Essex, we spent many a Sunday there banging out the tunes.

THE PLAN - It was always World Domination, it just didn't pan out the way we expected it to.

The High Barn

High Barn Studios was where we first recorded some of our material, a gift of studio time was always welcomed when you were starting out.

The Music of Bru Ha Ha

Was our music acoustic rock? Or was it folk rock? Or was it something else... To the left is a recording of Bru Ha Ha playing the Bulldog Bash in 2002, Below is a video of Bru Ha Ha's gig at a pub called The Globe in Mildenhall in 2002.
