The Blue and the Greens was born from the amalgamation of two stories, one called 'Hut 12' and the other called 'The Bird'. Hut 12 is an adventure story about two students travelling through Venezuela who get caught up with a biochemical terrorist organisation (who also feature in Thirds), and promptly escape from that camp. The Bird, is my version of Starfleet (Star Trek), but set in the present day, in our solar system, and with an independent space organisation.
Throwing the two stories together gives you two students, Gerry and Katie, on the run from a terrorist organisation who stumble upon what they think is a factory building in the middle of the Brazilian jungle, but it turns out they stowed away on a space ship launching on its maiden voyage.

The second book in the 'Blue and the Greens' trilogy is 'The Red and the Blacks'. What I forgot to mention about the first book was that when they launch into space, the world event occurs on earth, the majority of people are killed by animals, bacteria and viruses. This trilogy of books is part of the 'Plight Series'.
This second book in the trilogy follows our space mission team embarking on a series of personal missions, whilst finding out about other survivors and the mystery surrounding all the space ships that seem to be orbiting earth.

The third book in the Blue and The Greens trilogy is due to be written next year (2025), time willing. I can't say too much about as I haven't fleshed out what trajectory it will take. Watch this space (pun not intended).
